Recently (formerly) employed as a "Microsoft support professional", I
have had the pleasure of working with some great folks on a team that
provides technical support for MS Dos and Windows 3.x as well as the
16-bit versions of Internet Explorer 2, 3, 4 and 5.
What does a
team such as this, choose as a "moniker"?
Well it has to
be appropriate, regarding the seemingly archaic software that we support
(ancient, yet still widely utilized). It has to be a name
that is relatively contemporary. Let's face it, though these
operating systems and browser applications are "dinosaurs", they've
maintained their stability while choking on the dust kicked up by
Windows 95, 98 and Internet Explorer 5. Now, I shall
digress. Ultimately, it came to pass that the Microsoft "Legacy"
team should be referred to as "JURASSIC PARK".
I've created these images for the teams' webpage, which was created by the amazing and frightening Phillip
Merryman. There now.
That's nearly more information than you were really interested in now,
wasn't it? Thanks for taking the time! (oh yeah!, you can probably guess where I'm working now)! |
